New Keystroke Macros
Keystroke now has the ability to store and use macros. A macro is a set of commands that are run when the macro is used. Macros can be run by calling them from a specified keyboard combination (for example ), from a toolbar button, from a script, from other programs, or even from other macros. The commands that make up the macro can be a variety of things from keys being pressed to setting variables within Keystroke.
Currently Macros are only available in the Sales Manager module. The Sales Manager Macros are stored in the file “MacrosSM.DAT”. The Macros data file is in XML format and can be edited with a text editor or by using the Macro Editor built into Keystroke. The Editor in the Sales Manager is accessed using the Transaction – Parameters – Macros function.

Menu Profiling
January 16, 2008 on 1:59 pm | In Digital Dining, Digital Dining Ver. 7.3 | No CommentsA underused feature in Digital Dining is Menu Profiling. The system can be programmed to look for items that you want to sell (for example) at lunch. If the order does not contain a salad (example), when the check is printed a coupon is also printed for a free or dollar discounted or % off salad on the next visit…expiring in one or two weeks. At dinner the item(s) can change.

One Prepaid Account – Mutiple Sites
January 16, 2008 on 1:50 pm | In Digital Dining | No CommentsWow, this is amazing.
With one prepaid support account, you can use it at any of your sites. No need for a separate account for each site.
Support Account Rollover
January 16, 2008 on 1:48 pm | In Digital Dining | No CommentsAt the end of the year, your prepaid support account rolls over into the next year. There is NO expiration date.
I know of no other POS company offering roll over. Offering this to our customers allows them to receive support at discounted rates AND avoid the large annual support contract. Use what you need and buy waht you want.
NBS Support
January 16, 2008 on 1:44 pm | In Digital Dining | No CommentsOften I hear that other POS companies claim to have a large support staff available 24/7/365.
At NBS we actually do. The support team consists of 7 staff members. Two of the team work on repairs in house and the other five provide training and support. We are always available with senior Techinicians to assist our customers. NBS, helping our customers be successful.
Digital Dining Version 7.3
January 14, 2008 on 11:22 am | In Digital Dining, Digital Dining Ver. 7.3 | No CommentsAs of 1/14/2008 Digital Dining version 7.3 is the current version of the product. and I don’t see that changing for quite awhile. Maybe 6 months or more? Ver. 7.3 has many new features added not found in Ver. 7.2
Most important is 7.3 is Visa/Mastercard PCI compliant when using High Speed Credit Card interface. If you process credit cards via an inter-net connection you need this upgrade with the proper release # to make sure you are up to date!
